Benefits of LNG as Marine Bunkering Fuel

Cleaner Burning: LNG is a cleaner burning fuel compared to traditional marine fuel sources.

Lower Emissions: Experts predict LNG reduces SOx emissions by 90-95%, carbon dioxide emissions by 20-25%, as well as reduces PM emissions.

Cost Effective: LNG is a cost effective fuel source option for new vessels versus scrubbers or more expensive low-sulfur fuels.

IMO 2020 regulations are requiring stricter limits on sulfur oxide (SOx), nitrogen oxide (NOx), and particulate matter (PM) emissions from ships, leading marine companies to switch to cleaner burning fuel sources such as liquified natural gas (LNG). Stabilis offers full-service LNG Marine Bunkering solutions throughout the U.S., enabling marine companies to safely and efficiently fuel their vessels with LNG.

Small-Scale LNG, Global Reach

As an approved LNG exporter by the U.S. Department of Energy, we can export a combined annual volume of 2,372,000 m³ of LNG. Stabilis specializes in small-scale export quantities that are more suited to smaller offtake needs. We’re equipped to export LNG globally in ISO containers or vessels with LNG transport capacities up to 10,000 m³ to Free-Trade and Non-Free-Trade destinations. For flexibility we offer:
