For over 20+ years, Stabilis’ vision is to of provide low cost, abundant, and environmentally friendly natural gas solutions throughout North America. Today we are a leading producer, marketer and distributor of liquefied natural gas (LNG), serving a wide range of customers with portable, temporary and permanent solutions.

Our customers use LNG and hydrogen in a variety of applications in the industrial, energy, mining, utilities and pipelines, commercial, and high horsepower transportation markets. LNG provides alternatives to traditional fuel sources, resulting in lower fuel costs and reduce harmful environmental emissions. Stabilis’ customers also use LNG as a “virtual pipeline” solution when natural gas pipelines are not available or volumes are curtailed.

Stabilis is headquartered in Houston, TX with state-of-the-art LNG production facilities in George West, TX and Port Allen, LA. Together with our network of production and distribution partners, we’ve delivered more than 46,000 deliveries and over 400 million gallons of LNG across the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

Our QHSE commitment

Stabilis is committed to attaining the highest standards of quality, health, safety and environment (QHSE) in all aspects of its business. Our policy emphasizes the following primary actions to ensure we comply with applicable QHSE laws and regulations:

  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability by making QHSE management a primary line management responsibility;
  • Regularly communicate with our owners, employees, business associates, contractors, and vendors regarding our QHSE goals and expectations;
  • Recruit, select, and retain high caliber, responsible individuals to create and maintain a workforce that competently executes our QHSE policies;
  • Ensure effective employee participation in QHSE management through recognition and incentive programs;
  • Identify, communicate, and manage the hazards with which we work and ensure the risks we face are reduced to levels that are as low as reasonably possible;
  • Establish clear emergency planning, response and preparedness procedures for people working in our offices, shops, and at our well site locations; and
  • Regularly evaluate and update of our health, safety and environmental policies.

Westy Ballard
President and Chief Executive Officer

Westy served in various executive roles at Superior Energy Services, Inc., including CFO, Operations Executive Vice President, and Vice President of Corporate Development. Prior to joining the private sector, he served as a captain in the United States Marine Corps.

Andy Puhala
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary

Andy was formerly CFO of ERA Group, American Electric Technologies, and AccessESP and has held other senior finance roles in the energy sector including a 15-year career at Baker Hughes, a global energy technology company.

Matt Barclay
Senior Vice President, Marine

Matt has over 25 years of experience in the natural gas industry, including LNG production and distribution, renewable natural gas, and business development.  Matt co-founded Prometheus Energy Company in 2003, which was acquired by Stabilis in 2019.

Koby Knight
Senior Vice President Plants, EPC, and Special Projects

Koby is an engineering executive with over 25 years of experience specializing in the development of LNG, CNG, and hydrogen production and fueling facilities. Koby’s experience also includes developing renewable natural gas facilities, high purity methane for the aerospace industry, and marine bunkering during his 13-year naval career. Prior to joining Stabilis, Koby served as an executive at Clean Energy Fuels.

Stage Marroquin
Senior Vice President, Commercial and Industrial

Stage has over 15 years of experience in energy, logistics and natural gas markets.  Previously, Stage was Vice President of Operations, and President of the Company’s Mexico operations.  Prior to joining Stabilis, Stage served as the Director of Business Development at Grupo CLISA, a Mexican based energy, logistics, and distribution company, and developed a diverse portfolio of successful projects in the energy, infrastructure and agriculture sectors.
